The original 58 dwellings in the Den Tir neighbourhood no longer met contemporary spatial, technical, and regulatory standards. Therefore, they have been replaced by a renewed ensemble of 88 affordable homes, introducing a richer mix of housing typologies and a more future-proof residential fabric.
The updated neighbourhood introduces a diverse range of household compositions and levels of mobility, better suited to today’s residents: young and old, individuals and families, elderly and people with disabilities. This diversity contributes to a more inclusive and adaptable neighbourhood structure. Residents can now choose between homes with compact private gardens or apartments overlooking the park.
Beyond the housing itself, the project redefines the public realm as an integral part of the living environment. Streets have been reconceived as shared spaces that support play, encounter, and everyday use, while a network of green meeting spaces enhances social interaction. The spatial and visual relationship with the adjacent park has been strengthened, embedding the neighbourhood more firmly within its broader landscape context.
